Today on the podcast we are thrilled to bring you Tina Aszmus, who runs the design studio LifeLovePaper. Tina designs and illustrates memory keeping products, having designed for Studio Calico and the Kelly Purkey Shop. She currently freelances and provides digital shop items as well as special paper mailings which include limited edition screen prints, zines and stickers. She lives in Anchorage, Alaska with her husband, son and a very loved dog.

Tina Aszmus starts off talking to Amanda + Kristin about her early foray into design, her background with Studio Calico, and how she’s inspired by flowers, plants, and the illustrations & textures of vintage children’s books.
Tina & the girls then go into how much scrapbooking trends have changed, and how years ago it was all about adding more, more, more while now, it’s more of an attitude of LESS.
Tina talks to A + K about RESILIENCE, not giving in to her seasonal depression, and that voice in her head that says “your art is trash.” We are our own worst critics, says Tina, but wraps it back around to resiliently saying “who cares. I like it, and I”m going to make more.”
